Nonwovens are used in upholstery, they can be found in the inner linings as well as in stuffing of the arms and seats of sofas.

Nonwoven fabrics have replaced the traditional and more expensive external fabric, as they are used in the lower part of the sofa to make it more comfortable and to prevent insects from getting into it, as well as fungi and mold from proliferating.

They are also used as stuffing, giving support to the foam and other cushioning materials which cover the wooden frame, and they contribute to the increase of the upholstery life cycle.
